  2. Select System from the left-hand menu.
  3. Click Clipboard.
  4. Toggle the Clipboard history switch to On.

Clear Individual Items from Clipboard History

  2. Find the item you want to keep.
  3. Select the Pin icon next to the item.

Troubleshooting

Clipboard History Panel Does Not Open

  1. Ensure clipboard history is enabled by going to Settings > System > Clipboard and confirming that Clipboard history is switched to On.
  2. Restart your computer and try pressing Windows key + V again.
  3. Check for Windows updates by going to Settings > Windows Update and selecting Check for updates.

Copy and Paste Still Not Working Between Applications

  1. Close the application where you are trying to paste, then reopen it.
  2. Test copy and paste in a different application, such as Notepad, to determine if the issue is isolated to one program.
  3. If the problem persists across multiple applications, restart your computer.
  4. Clear the clipboard via Command Prompt: open Command Prompt as administrator, type echo off | clip and press Enter.
Tip: You can also clear clipboard data through Settings > System > Clipboard > Clear clipboard data > Clear.
Caution: Selecting Clear all removes every unpinned item from your clipboard history. This action cannot be undone.
