Common Causes
Windows 11 Night Light reduces blue light emissions from your display during evening hours to help reduce eye strain and improve sleep quality. When configured to follow the sunset-to-sunrise schedule, it should turn off automatically at sunrise based on your location. If Night Light remains active after sunrise, follow the steps below to resolve the issue.
Verify Night Light Schedule Settings

Windows key + I. - In the left sidebar, select System.
- Click Display on the right.
- Locate the Brightness & colour section.

- Click the arrow or Night light settings tile to expand the options.
- Under Schedule, ensure Sunset to sunrise is selected.
- If you previously set custom hours, select Set hours and adjust the turn-off time to match sunrise in your area.
