- Test that files open, save, and sync correctly from the mapped drive.

Once mapped, your cloud library appears under This PC in File Explorer. You can open, save, and move files just like a traditional network share. Files save directly to the cloud, so colleagues can open and edit them at the same time.
Troubleshooting
Drive Letter Already in Use
If Z: is already assigned to another network drive or USB device, choose a different available letter such as Y: or X: during the mapping process.
Cannot Connect to the Folder
- Check that you are connected to the internet.
- Verify the SharePoint URL is correct and ends with the document library path.
- Ensure you are signed into OneDrive with the same Microsoft 365 account that has access to the library.
- Try mapping the drive again after restarting File Explorer.
Files Not Syncing or Showing Offline
- Look for the OneDrive cloud icon in the Windows system tray and confirm it shows sync status, not an error.
- Right-click a file or folder and select Always keep on this device if you need offline access.
- Check that Files On-Demand is enabled in OneDrive settings.
Permission Denied When Opening Files
If you cannot open a file, your user account may not have permission to that SharePoint library. Contact your organisation's administrator to confirm your access level.
