1. Forget and rejoin the network
Corrupted network profiles are a frequent cause of repeated drops, especially after a password change or router firmware update.
- Click the network icon on the right side of the taskbar.
- Click the arrow next to the Wi-Fi button to see available networks.

- Connect another device (phone, tablet, another laptop) to the same network in the same location. If it stays connected, the issue is specific to your Windows laptop.
- Boot the laptop into Safe Mode with Networking (Settings > System > Recovery > Advanced Startup) and test Wi-Fi there. If it is stable in Safe Mode, a startup application or service is interfering.
