  4. Set the power plan to Balanced or Power saver in Settings > System > Power & battery.

1. Check for blocked ventilation

  3. Use a can of compressed air to blow dust out of the vents. Use short bursts and hold the fan still with a toothpick if it spins, as spinning it too fast can damage the bearings.
  4. For desktop PCs, open the side panel and gently clean dust from fans, heatsinks, and filters using compressed air.
